Copyright Safeguard Footer Notice
Current Version: 3.0
Release Date: 3/4/2015
Copyright Safeguard is a WordPress plugin that displays a button or link in the page footer of your site, or in the content (using a shortcode). Clicking the link pops up a copyright notice.
You can see an example in the footer at the bottom of this page. (You can also click the button on the upper right corner of this page.)
In order to place the button in the footer, this plugin requires a theme that supports the wp_footer() hook. Don't worry - almost all themes do!
The plugin requires you to register for a free account on the Copyright Safeguard website, and after registering, add the title and URL of your website. You'll then get a Copyright Safeguard Authorization Code that you'll need to configure the plugin.
To install the plugin:
- In your Wordpress Dashboard, go to Plugin->Add New, and search for Copyright Safeguard, -or-
- Download CopyrightSafeguard-fn.zip, and then upload it to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory on your website.
After you install and activate the plugin, go to the Settings menu in your WordPress Dashboard and click "Copyright Safeguard" for an easy-to-use configuration form.
The configuration form will allow you to select the type of button or link you want on your site. Options include a big button like the one in the upper right, a wide button, or a text link like the one in the footer at the bottom of this page.
